Jane Taylor- Pre School Manager

Jane has worked at The Red Oak Children’s Centre since it opened in February 2009. Jane has used her experience to help set up the preschool and brings with her a wealth of knowledge in care and education.  Previously to this Jane has worked in a school’s foundation unit for 3 to 5 year olds since 2000, Jane has also worked in a hospital and with children with special educational needs, Jane has an NNEB (level 3 in care and education).


Sophie Bathurst- Senior Nursery Practitioner (Maternity Leave)

Sophie is an experienced Nursery Practitioner who has worked in private day nurseries before coming to The Red Oak Children’s Centre. Sophie is a qualified level 3 practitioner and uses her skills and knowledge to support the children in her care.


Chantelle McShee- Senior Nursery Practitioner (Maternity cover)

Chantelle joins the team whilst Sophie is on maternity leave. Prior to this role Chantelle, who is a qualified level 3 practitioner, worked in a school for children with special educational needs.


Laura Higgs- Nursery Practitioner

Laura is working towards her level 3 qualification. She has worked at The Red Oak in both crèches and in the preschool. Laura is dedicated and enthusiastic and enjoys helping the children learn through play.


Louise Charlton- Lunchtime support

Louise has experience of working with children with special educational needs in Furzefield School. She provides lunch cover and also works in The Red Oak Creche when courses are taking place.


Alison Shirley- Tea Time Support

Alison works as tea time support in the preschool. She is well known to our reception children as she is based in the reception class of Furzefield during the day. Alison provides lots of fun activities during the after school session.


Lynne Evans- Tea Time Support

Like Alison, Lynne is based in Furzefield reception class during the day and works as tea time support in the preschool. Lynne is a dedicated member of the staff team and the children love spending time with her. 


Jordan Ebora- Tea Time support

Jordan has previous childcare experience and enjoys interacting with the after school children and helping provide them with a healthy nutritious tea.


Charlotte Chappell- Tea Time Support/ Holiday Club assistant

Charlotte is a valued member of the after school club team and the older children particularly enjoy interacting with her, having fun and playing games.
